Job Title: Accounting Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Associate to support our finance team at Certified Employment Group. The primary responsibility of this role is to process accounts payable and manage the deposit of checks and cash.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage all vendors within our accounting system, NetSuite.
  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring they align with purchase orders.
  • Prepare and schedule payments to vendors, ensuring timely disbursement, and record all non-ACH vendor payments within NetSuite.
  • Handle the deposit of checks and cash, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Record incoming payments, including checks, direct deposits, and electronic transfers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain organized files for accounts payable documents and other financial records.
  • Assist with additional accounting and finance-related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with the NetSuite accounting software is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
