Position Overview:
The Customer Service Account Associate plays a crucial role in managing information and correspondence related to customer needs, interpreting data, addressing customer service inquiries, and executing general departmental functions.
FLSA Status: 40Hr – Salary w/ OT
Employment Type: Full Time
Department: Customer Service
Reports to: Manager of Sales and Marketing
Supervises: N/A
Educational/ Vocational Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • A combination of education, experience, and training may be accepted in lieu of these requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process packing slips and bills of lading for daily invoicing, including mailing invoices, faxing shippers, and transmitting electronic invoices according to customer specifications.
  • Manage customer purchase orders and EDI (electronic data interchange), ensuring accurate communication between the customer and the company; initiate order acknowledgments.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, issues, and claims.
  • Access specific customer portals to retrieve purchase orders, send ASN's, and exchange necessary information.
  • Maintain and organize documented information.
  • Complete all required reports and records accurately and promptly.
  • Assist with reception desk coverage and mail duties as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervision or management.
  • Support the Manager of Sales with research and general tasks related to enhancing Customer Service.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Dependable, capable of working independently, and possessing a consistent work ethic.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a tidy work area and minimize potential hazards.
  • Comply with company policies and OSHA standards to achieve zero safety incidents.
  • Personable yet professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Willingness and capacity to learn and expand knowledge based on company requirements.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour
