Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Service Representative to join our team at Norton Healthcare. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will play a critical role in securing accounts with eligible insurance and authorization, and completing patient pre-registration for scheduled procedures within our adult and pediatric facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient payer eligibility, benefits/coverage, and estimated payment responsibility
  • Secure on-account authorizations for status changes and non-scheduled inpatient admissions
  • Complete pre-registration phone interviews, including obtaining necessary pre-registration information
  • Notify patients of potential financial responsibility and collect payment via phone
  • Review issued Medicare ABN (Advance Beneficiary Notification) and provide direction to facility and registration desk
  • Educate patients regarding what items are required as part of the patient's facility registration process
Qualifications
  • One year of experience in Customer Service/Patient Access or Office Support
  • Desirable: Three years of experience in Patient Access
  • High School Diploma or GED
