Position Overview:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of environmental, health, and safety initiatives. This position is vital in ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory standards, permit requirements, and internal company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with facility leadership to enhance EHS performance and foster a culture of safety.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in EHS practices.
- Provide training and resources to employees to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field such as Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three to seven years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and experience in addressing EHS challenges.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
- Proficient in using computer software and applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
