The MetroHealth System is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dining Service Aide. As a key contact person between the Dining and Nutrition Services Department and patients, you will be responsible for delivering meals and assisting with patient meal services. Your duties will include performing a variety of food service tasks to provide quality, safe food for our patients and customers.

Responsibilities:

* Deliver meals to patients and assist with meal services
* Perform food service duties to provide quality, safe food
* Maintain a clean and safe food service environment
* Interact effectively with patients and staff
* Maintain confidentiality

Requirements:

* Actively enrolled in secondary school
* Valid work permit for students under the age of 18
* Ability to read and write in English
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Electronic competency to enter meal or stock orders and track meals
* Ability to communicate well with patients and staff
* Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

* Currently pursuing an HS Diploma

Physical Requirements:

* May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day
* May need to sit or stand for extended periods
* See in the normal visual range with or without correction
* Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
* Ability to lift pounds with assistance
* Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance
* Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
* Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products
