Job Summary

The Research Intern is an entry-level clinical research position at Children's National Hospital. This role is responsible for supporting clinical trials and assisting investigators in organizing, gathering, and compiling clinical research data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data to support clinical trials and research projects
  • Enter data into databases and maintain accurate records
  • Assist investigators in organizing and compiling research data
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and recordkeeping
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of human subjects research and research principles
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (required) or Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • 2 years of related experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated adherence to the standards for the responsible conduct of research
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, data collection, and analysis, and research principles
  • Excellent computer skills in a Windows and/or Mac environment
  • Excellent organizational, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • CITI Certification (required)
Working Conditions

The Research Intern will work in a fast-paced clinical research environment and will be expected to maintain confidentiality of data and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
