Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Acuity International. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical services and diagnostic imaging examinations to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, and ultrasound.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
  • Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties and providing explanations of treatment.
  • Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintain production and quality of radiographs or other media by following established standards and procedures.
  • Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain radiology supplies and inventory by checking stock and anticipating needed supplies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate, or associate degree.
  • Must have an unrestricted state license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required.
  • Must have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Must be experienced in performing CT procedures, including contrast exams.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products, is required.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond promptly are necessary.
Additional Requirements
  • Must have a valid, current U.S. Driver's License.
  • Must have a current U.S. Passport.
  • Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
Physical Requirements
  • Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Location of services may at times be in remote, austere, or challenging environments.
  • May require bending, stooping, and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
