About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Acuity International. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional medical services to our clients, utilizing your expertise in diagnostic imaging to preserve their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, mammography, and ultrasound, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors.
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques and using beam-restrictive devices.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, administering first aid, and using emergency equipment.
- Maintain production and quality of radiographs or other media by following established standards and procedures.
- Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintain radiology supplies and inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and expediting orders.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate, or associate degree.
- Must have an unrestricted state license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified.
- A minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required.
- Must have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Must be experienced in performing CT procedures, including contrast exams.
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products, is required.
- Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond promptly.
- All healthcare providers must have current clinical experience in direct patient care and have worked a minimum of 6 of the last 12 months in the desired career field.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a valid, current U.S. Driver's License.
- Must have a current U.S. Passport.
- Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
Physical Requirements:
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
- Location of services may at times be in remote, austere, or challenging environments.
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
