About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join the National Women's History Museum as our Assistant Director of Strategic Programs and Education. The successful candidate will lead our educational initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to create innovative programs and exhibitions that engage diverse audiences.

The role involves strategic program oversight, program and resource development, evaluation and assessment, budget management, staff supervision, and advocacy and outreach. We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to women's history education, excellent communication skills, and experience in program development, research, and evaluation.

As a renowned leader in women's history education, we strive to fundamentally change the way women and girls see their potential and power.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, museum studies, history, or a related field. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in educational program development, preferably in a museum or cultural institution.
  • Strong knowledge of, or interest in, women's history and a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.

Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience.
