Job Title: Threat Electronics Specialist I
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Threat Electronics Specialist I to join our team at the National Guard Employment Network. As a Threat Electronics Specialist I, you will be responsible for assisting senior technicians with the operations and maintenance of various systems, including the Oehler Acoustic System, Field Equivalent Bar Targets, and Video Based Scoring System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior technicians with the operations and maintenance of various systems
- Conduct all operations in accordance with manufacturer's manual and Standard Operating Procedures
- Receive training in operations and maintenance under the guidance of a senior technician
- Perform other duties as required to complete the assigned mission
Requirements:
- Must be able to acquire a class B or higher CDL in six months and maintain for the duration of employment
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess an Associates of Applied Science degree in Electronics or equivalent training acquired through military, or a recognized trade school and 4 years of experience in a related technical field, or 2 years of cross-utilization in the Threat Systems Section with no disciplinary actions
- Must have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Must be able to use two-way radios, email, and cellular phones for communications
Working Conditions:
The Threat Electronics Specialist I will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, standing, climbing, and stooping. The position requires the ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned and to work in extreme weather conditions, including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Travel Requirements:
The Threat Electronics Specialist I may be required to travel for off-site duties up to 30% of the time and remain at the travel location for up to 3 weeks at a time.
Security Clearance:
The Threat Electronics Specialist I must be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
Additional Qualifications:
- Possess 3+ years of experience as an electronic technician
- Experience with bucket truck operations
- Possess a class A CDL
