Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Federal Express Corporation. As an Industrial Equipment Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on material handling systems, utilizing expertise in mechanical power transmission, electrical, and PLC/controls.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, working closely with higher-level technicians and management to resolve complex issues.

  • Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair issues, utilizing the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software to track and manage work orders.

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in industrial maintenance, with expertise in at least two specialty skills (mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC/controls) and basic welding/fabrication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificates in Industrial Maintenance or related field, with emphasis on mechanical power transmission, electrical, and PLC/controls.
  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software and other industry-specific tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
