Maintenance Technician Job Description

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of industrial equipment and facilities at Westlake. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and machinery.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Operate and maintain industrial equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and die grinders.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
  • Forklift certification and overhead crane certification required.
  • Hot work and Lock Out Tag Out certification required.
  • Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems certification a plus.
Working Conditions:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced industrial environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually loud.
