Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is seeking a skilled Laser Welder for a contract role. This position requires full onsite presence.


Key Responsibilities:


- Execute laser welding on microelectronic components to establish hermetic seals.
- Operate automated machinery, conduct leak tests, and manage vacuum ovens and thermal chambers.
- Utilize mechanical presses, inert gas mixture gloveboxes, and solder vacuum furnaces effectively.

Additionally, you will be responsible for diagnosing assemblies that fail leak tests and performing various microelectronic assembly tasks.


Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with laser welding equipment for hermetic sealing.
- Proficient in working under a microscope for extended durations.
- Ability to interpret and work from detailed process documentation and schematics.
- Competent computer skills for accessing drawings and work instructions.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as torque drivers and tweezers.
- Strong dexterity and coordination between hand and eye.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with J-STD-001 standards.
- Knowledge of working in ESD and FOD-controlled environments.
- Background in mechanical assembly of small electronic devices.
- Experience with military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 regulated settings.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

- Full-Time
- 4/10 work schedule
- 1st Shift
