Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Category and Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. This role will be responsible for leading the sourcing of construction services in support of our build program across the AMER region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supply chain, and logistics, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction-related roles. They will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The Category and Strategic Sourcing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, quality, and business teams, to define and drive action on supply solutions and strategies. They will also be responsible for managing contract and price negotiation activities, ensuring that both price and capacity needs are met while reflecting Microsoft's cross-functional engagements with suppliers.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate points of view with executive management and stakeholders. They will be a self-starter and quick learner of Microsoft systems and processes, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for construction services
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive action on supply solutions and strategies
  • Manage contract and price negotiation activities
  • Ensure that both price and capacity needs are met while reflecting Microsoft's cross-functional engagements with suppliers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, operations-related roles, or engineering
  • 8+ years of construction experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
