Role Expectations

Jack's Abby Brewing is seeking a dedicated sales representative to promote our craft beer brands within the Massachusetts market. The ideal candidate is a passionate beer enthusiast with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, ready to explore new business opportunities while nurturing existing partnerships. This remote role requires a self-motivated individual with flexible working hours and the ability to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with retail account managers, buyers, and consumers to provide insights about our products.
  • Secure product commitments from buyers and relay orders to the respective distributor representatives.
  • Showcase our brewery's offerings at various tastings and promotional events.
  • Ensure effective product placement on shelves and in coolers.
  • Monitor product freshness in the market.
  • Enhance product visibility by competing for prime shelf space and tap handle placements.
  • Maintain regular communication with distributor representatives and craft managers regarding market activities.
  • Identify and report market opportunities.
  • Manage sales efforts, pursue new business, and cultivate enduring client relationships with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with management and distribution partners to achieve sales targets.
  • Contribute to the overall sales strategy and planning for the region.
  • Document and plan all sales activities thoroughly.
  • Organize and participate in events such as tap takeovers and beer festivals.
  • Oversee a small team of Brand Ambassadors.
Qualifications
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload independently.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is advantageous.
  • Experience in the craft beer sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Background in sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite or similar applications.
  • Understanding of craft beer and its market dynamics.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Clean driving record and ability to drive long distances.
Work Environment
  • This is a fully remote position.
  • Regular visits to accounts across a broad territory are required, along with remote communication. Candidates must confidently navigate the territory with samples and supplies.
