Location: Buena Park, CA
Role Overview:
- Accountable for delivering financial guidance and supervision for the facility to meet business objectives while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee the finance department within the facility, including:
- Implementation and remediation of internal controls.
- Timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Performance analysis and identification of profitability enhancement opportunities.
- Strategic planning, forecasting, and capital effectiveness analysis.
- Project evaluation and personnel development.
- Assessment of business needs and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Key stakeholders include the Site Manager, Region Controller, finance staff, and other management personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and evaluation of the annual strategic and capital plans, along with monthly operational results and forecasts to achieve facility goals.
- Manage finance staff on daily operations, including financial transactions and analytical tasks, while fostering team development.
- Identify and execute key strategic objectives.
- Ensure the facility maintains accurate financial records in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and corporate policies.
- Guarantee timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Ensure accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain an effective internal control system for the facility and engage management in compliance reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in accounting within manufacturing, particularly in converting operations, is desirable.
- Familiarity with the corrugated industry is a plus.
- Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential issues.
- Strong team collaboration skills and alignment facilitation.
- Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to meet objectives.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, along with proficiency in PC applications and internal controls.
- Competencies include business acumen, action orientation, leadership, problem-solving, and priority setting.
