About the Role

Gastro Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
  • Utilizes our practice management system to create and maintain accurate patient records, including demographic and insurance information.
  • Verifies patient registration forms and obtains necessary information from referring physicians and primary care providers.
  • Ensures patients have current referrals and verifies insurance benefits prior to office visits and procedures.
  • Collects co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles from patients and posts payments in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a clean and organized lobby and reception area, including stocking business cards and other materials.
  • Provides administrative support to our healthcare providers, including scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and handling phone calls and voicemails.
  • Reschedules no-show appointments and maintains accurate coverage information.
  • Supports the care center in areas such as record requests, fax management, and scanning records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical practice or similar setting preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience a plus.
