Job Opportunity

Dermatology Associates of Northern Kentucky is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join their team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the doctors and physician extenders in their daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist physicians during treatment, examination, and surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and test results in medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Interview patients to obtain medical information, ensuring a thorough understanding of their medical history.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Educate patients on their treatment plans, medication use, and compliance with treatment protocols.
  • Practice confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards, maintaining the trust and security of patient information.
  • Enter accurate and complete provider notes into patient charts, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare professionals.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in community education initiatives as requested.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certification or two years of recent, verifiable medical assistant employment.
  • Computer experience and/or EHR experience required, with a strong understanding of medical software and systems.
