Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographs for interventional studies, assisting with sterile setup, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures. You will work closely with physicians to ensure accurate and efficient imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently, minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Assist physicians with invasive radiographic procedures, handling and preparing patients as needed.
  • Record QA assignments and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Comply with hospital-wide BSI precautions and follow recommended safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on medical, state, and federal safety standards, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary for patient care.
  • Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
  • Review patient history and take precautions to prevent adverse reactions.
  • Manage inventory and maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Obtain and record patient data as required by the medical center, state, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • ARRT(R) registered or eligible (individual state requirements apply).
Specialized Knowledge:
  • Excellent understanding of radiation protection and sterile technique.
