Senior Account Manager

Overview: At Chronicle Books, we are seeking a highly motivated National Account Manager to drive sales growth and brand awareness for Books and Paper/Gifts at Barnes & Noble, Paper Source, and other key accounts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the book retail landscape, proven sales skills, and strong analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities: The National Account Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of key accounts, developing and executing tailored account plans, selling frontlist book titles via Edelweiss, participating in seasonal previews, and conducting regular sell-in appointments with the gift and paper teams. They will also analyze POS data and market trends to provide detailed sales analysis and collaborate with internal teams (editorial, marketing, production) to drive sales growth and brand awareness.
Requirements: A minimum of 5 years' sales or account management experience, preferably in book publishing or a related industry, is required. Advanced proficiency in sales tools, including Salesforce and Edelweiss, with expertise in sales tracking, forecasting, and data analysis is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience in book publishing, a track record of achieving sales targets, and the ability to forge and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Estimated Salary: $90,000-$120,000 per year, based on factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
