Job Title: Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team at Protingent. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware for our cutting-edge audio products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement firmware solutions for audio products, including headsets and communication devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions.
  • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications to ensure high-quality software implementation.
  • Implement system software and customize to client requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans to ensure thorough testing and validation.
  • Code new programs to client specifications and create test data for testing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs, ensuring high-quality software.
  • Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation, ensuring smooth transition.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews to ensure software meets client requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience with C++ proficiency and strong software development skills.
  • Experience with Qualcomm chipsets and tools, with a strong understanding of audio products and firmware development.
  • Strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Large systems software design and development experience, with a focus on high-quality software implementation.
  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
  • Experience in programming and problem diagnosis and resolution, with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience with audio products, with a strong understanding of firmware development and acoustic solutions.
  • Experience with Qualcomm audio chipsets and tools, with a focus on high-quality software implementation.
  • Test development experience with Audio Precision or dScope III, with a strong understanding of acoustic testing and validation.
  • Acoustic test experience using B&K head and shoulder simulator or similar, with a focus on high-quality audio products.
  • DSP development experience, with a strong understanding of digital signal processing and firmware development.
