Job Overview:
We are seeking a C/C++ Firmware Engineer with expertise in Qualcomm audio technologies for a contract position. This role requires a strong background in software development and audio systems.

Key Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Engineering is required.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency with Qualcomm audio chipsets and associated development tools.
  • Experience in test development using Audio Precision or dScope III.
  • Familiarity with acoustic testing methodologies, including the use of B&K head and shoulder simulators.
  • Background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) development.
  • Strong understanding of computer science principles, particularly in data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience in designing and developing large-scale software systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and conduct unit testing on both new and existing systems.
  • Solid programming skills with a focus on problem diagnosis and resolution.

Essential Skills:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of C++ programming experience is essential.
  2. 5 years of experience with audio product development is highly regarded.
  3. 5 years of familiarity with Qualcomm chipsets is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust C/C++ software solutions for audio applications.
  • Work on headset and communication device firmware.
  • Contribute to high-volume consumer product development.
  • Enhance and optimize various software implementation projects.
  • Gather system requirements, document specifications, and create software solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Review and analyze enhancement requests and specifications.
  • Implement system software and customize it according to client requirements.
  • Prepare detailed software specifications and testing plans.
  • Code new applications per client specifications and generate test data for validation.
  • Update existing software to meet new standards and conduct unit testing.
  • Create migration packages for system and user testing.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews and perform post-implementation validation of software.
