Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to assist with the digital publishing of research at the University of Kentucky. As a UKnowledge Student Library Assistant, you will work closely with our team to perform various tasks involved in digital publishing, including data entry, content management, and quality control.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the digital publishing of research articles, books, and other scholarly materials
  • Perform data entry and content management tasks, including formatting and proofreading
  • Work with our team to ensure the accuracy and quality of published content
  • Develop skills in academic publishing, scholarly communications, and copyright
Requirements
  • UK student enrolled in classes during Fall '24 and Spring '25
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to apply existing standards and guidelines
  • Demonstrated persistence in problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications
  • Library, copy editing, and/or database experience
  • Experience or interest in academic publishing, academic research, scholarly communications, or copyright
Work Environment

This is a part-time position, working Monday and Wednesday and Friday, for 3-5 hours each day, between 9am and 5:00pm. Possibility of working during university break if desired. Once trained, greater flexibility in schedule may be possible.
