Job Title: Digital Marketing Intern

Birmingham Restaurant Supply, a leading provider of foodservice equipment and supplies, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Intern to join our team.

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will assist the Digital Marketing Manager in creating and implementing digital marketing campaigns across multiple brands, including content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, as well as experience with social media platforms and content management systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creating monthly digital content calendars for multiple brands
  • Conduct background research for blog content and draft blog posts under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Manager
  • Assist with planning and executing social media content calendars, including writing and creating content for social media posts
  • Monitor internal and competitor social media channels and assist with social media marketing reports
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager with email marketing initiatives, including list segmentation, reporting, and split testing
  • Assist with writing on-site content, such as product descriptions and landing pages, and conduct product photography for the website
Requirements:
  • Current college junior or senior with a major in marketing, advertising, public relations, journalism, communications, fine arts, or a related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to write in a variety of voices and styles
  • Working knowledge of and experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest
  • Previous experience with content management systems, such as WordPress, and Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Photography experience using a manual digital SLR and off-camera lighting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and email marketing platforms, such as MailChimp
