Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiology team at St. Joseph's Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care functions, including history and physical exams, daily rounds or appointments, ordering medications and lab testing, discharge or home care planning, and education of the patient and family.
  • Function as an expert practitioner, change agent, consultant, educator/innovator, and liaison in these functions.
  • Participate in orientation and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff to assess, plan, and implement a plan of care for specific patients and families.
Requirements
  • Current New York State RN license.
  • Experience in pertinent areas of nursing practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or active pursuit within one year.
Work Environment

This is a clinical setting with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions. The physical demands of this role include medium work, requiring the ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
