Key Responsibilities:- Maintain truck and crane inspection logs on a daily basis
- Complete CAT service reports daily, ensuring they are legible, grammatically correct, and include the appropriate SIMS code
- Transmit photos, timecards, service reports, and other information via email
- Maintain accurate customer records for assigned jobs
- Manage credit card receipts for accounting purposes
- Collaborate with the Service Department, Product Support Representatives, and Sales Department to meet customer needs
- Communicate with customers regarding diagnosis and status of repairs, parts, and other concerns
- Teach and coach other technicians in the field
- Promote Wagner Equipment Co. to customers
- Accurately troubleshoot and repair CAT equipment on the first attempt
- Apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work
- Safely rig or hook components for lifting
- Remove, repair, and install major components in various equipment configurations
- Maintain tooling in good working order, adhering to MSHA and OSHA regulations
- Making determinations in the field regarding warranty repair and guidelines, communicating decisions to customers and dispatchers
- Maintain service vehicles in safe and good repair
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
- High School Diploma or GED
- Relevant CAT-related courses
- 3+ years of experience servicing heavy equipment
- 1-3 years of administrative/clerical experience
- 3-5 years of customer service experience
- 3-5 years of sales experience
- DOT Health Card
- Class D Driver's License
- MSHA License
- Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands, and hearing
- Data entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication, and math skills
- Safety and product knowledge
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.
- Heavy work involving lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Intermediate knowledge of DBS
- Intermediate knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW
- Ability to work independently with little or no direction
- Well-rounded knowledge of CAT equipment
