Job Summary:

KLX Energy Services LLC is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our team in Hobbs, NM. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing physical tasks in the shop or warehouse in support of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a combination of shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks, using a computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting, and following shipping practices and procedures.
  • Inspect incoming materials to verify compliance with purchase orders and quality requirements, and log receipt of items on the system.
  • Route and dispatch material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments, and generate progress reports on schedule status.
  • Inspect, rebuild, operate, test, and troubleshoot equipment, and complete records and associated documentation.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and ground maintenance, including preparation of shop and company vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Less than High School Education
  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Ability to communicate and interpret a variety of oral and written instructions
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Relevant experience as a shop technician in the oil and gas industry

Physical Requirements:

  • Precise hand/eye coordination: Constantly
  • Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions: Frequently
  • Operation of heavy equipment or operation of vehicles: Occasionally
  • Lifting/pushing objects weighing over 50 lbs: Frequently
  • Climbing and working in awkward and cramped positions: Occasionally
