Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Abbott Laboratories. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the reliable operation of our buildings, facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair facilities equipment, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and repair and installation.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on facilities equipment, including renovation of facilities, assisting in packing, moving, and reconfiguring the facility.
- Escorts and assists outside repair persons in the performance of their contractual obligations.
- Maintain appropriate records, keep inventory of spare parts and materials, and provide supervisor with the information necessary to secure needed replacement parts or special materials.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior Carpentry experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a facilities role also a plus
- Troubleshooting experience
At Abbott Laboratories, we offer a competitive salary range of $19.60 – $39.20 per hour, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical coverage, retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and education benefits.
