Job Title: Administrative Assistant I

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant I to join our team at UMass Dartmouth. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our research team, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and the success of our research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to research team members, including preparing and submitting proposals, managing budgets, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of grant applications, including developing budgets, preparing proposals, and coordinating with faculty and staff.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including grant applications, budgets, and personnel files.
  • Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, including data entry, mailings, and special projects.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in office management, office administration, business administration, or business management, with a focus on purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, work simplification, grants management, contract administration, or program management.
  • Associate's or higher degree in business administration, business management, or public administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
