Job Title: Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic

Quad is seeking a skilled Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Wisconsin locations. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production presses and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Web Offset presses and auxiliary equipment to prevent downtime and ensure high-quality production.
  • Troubleshoot and repair precision machinery and auxiliary equipment using blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Emphasize proactive measures to minimize reactive maintenance and optimize equipment performance.
  • Maintain and repair components on systems such as bearings, gear clutches, couplings, belted and shafted drives, and gearboxes.
  • Follow safety protocols and effectively communicate with press operators, crew members, and management.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with an understanding of the urgency of equipment downtime.
  • Basic knowledge of precision test and calibration equipment to perform preventative maintenance.
  • Understanding of components and systems, including bearings, clutches, gears, belted and shafted drives, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, troubleshoot effectively, and respond quickly to solve equipment malfunctions.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must provide own set of tools and be able to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
