Responsibilities- Professional Practice
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Develop and individualize care plans, and revise as needed to address changing patient needs.
- Execute physician orders and administer medications and treatments in accordance with UTMB policies and procedures.
- Patient/Family Teaching & Health Promotion
- Provide basic patient/family instruction and healthcare teaching based on identified learning needs.
- Utilize evidence-based resources to provide patient/family education and promote health literacy.
- Care Coordination & Delegation
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritize patient care activities to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to other team members as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
- Leadership
- Recognize and support unit and hospital leaders, and contribute to the development of our clinical practice.
- Participate in shared leadership at the unit level and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Current RN licensure in Texas.
- Two years of clinical RN experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
