Nurse Clinician III

UTMB Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Clinician III to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care through nursing practices based on the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance.
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the daily care of assigned nursing diagnoses/patient care needs.
Develop and individualize care plans and revise plans of care as needed.
Execute physician's orders for all assigned patients, administer medications and treatments, and deliver culturally congruent and specialty-appropriate competent nursing care in accordance with UTMB's policies, procedures, and standards in a caring and compassionate manner.
Perform routine technical procedures/skills in the specialty area assigned.
Provide basic patient/family instruction and healthcare teaching based on identified learning needs (patient values, beliefs, barriers, and readiness to learn).
Utilize evidence-based resources to provide patient/family teaching and health promotion.
Teach-Back to determine effectiveness and modify strategies as needed.
Plan, coordinate, and prioritize patient care activities according to skill level and work complexity.
Maintain safety and continuity of care using methods such as bedside shift report, hand-off tools/processes, inter-disciplinary rounding, etc.
Demonstrate effective time management skills and delegate appropriately, seeking guidance when needed.
Demonstrate competent use of technology in the delivery of patient care.
Requirements:
RN with two years of clinical RN experience. Must possess and maintain a current license or valid permit to practice in Texas. Current BLS required.
ED experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications: Required - RNBLS
