Job Overview:

As an Event Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of buffet services for various meal periods in a safe and efficient manner. Your role will involve assisting guests to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to execute setups accurately.
  • Arrange tables in designated areas with precision and consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations while adhering to established policies.
  • Be available for flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Utilize proper equipment for clearing and transporting items.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of buffets and special event service areas.
  • Provide excellent service to guests, following guidelines for food and beverage delivery.
  • Ensure kitchen and storage areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Communicate effectively with the Banquet Captain and management regarding needs and concerns.
  • Complete all setup and closing tasks, ensuring tables are arranged according to procedures.
  • Maintain buffet tables throughout service, ensuring timely availability of food items.
  • Assist guests as needed, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
  • Perform cleaning duties post-event, returning all items to their designated locations.
  • Regularly polish service equipment and perform sidework as required.
Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
One to two years in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of customer service principles and food service operations.
  • Ability to handle customer service challenges with tact and professionalism.
Physical Demands:

This position requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing, walking, and lifting. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • Ability to lift and carry various items.
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment and serving items.
  • Mobility to navigate tight spaces and interact with guests.
Work Environment:
