Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to provide direct patient care to individuals living in our psychiatric unit. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing basic patient care activities, observing patients, and reporting unusual conditions or reactions to RN/LPN.
Key Responsibilities- Perform basic patient care activities, including admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
- Observe patients and report unusual conditions or reactions to RN/LPN.
- Assist with educational groups on the unit and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks and document according to policy.
- Run errands, such as lab specimens to the Laboratory, and assist RN/LPN with unit safety checks.
- May be required to work on other nursing units and comply with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program.
- High school graduate or GED.
- State of Wyoming CNA Certification or 2 years Previous Mental Health Experience.
- Previous experience preferred.
