Logistics Operations Director

A dynamic opportunity to drive supply chain excellence has emerged at General Employment. We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to spearhead our efforts in optimizing supply chain operations.
About the Role:This role is crucial in ensuring efficiency and driving continuous improvement using advanced ERP systems and leadership.
- The successful candidate will utilize the ERP system to create and expedite work orders as needed, expanding the organization's utilization of its current ERP system for enhanced operational efficiency.
- They will also train team members on the proper integration and usage of ERP systems, creating purchase orders based on requisitions or ERP demand.
- An additional responsibility will be expediting jobs and processes to align with production schedules and maintain shop floor control.
- The Supply Chain Manager will develop and update bills of material and work-order routings, manage the cycle count process, including reporting, reconciling, and driving corrective actions.
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance metrics using data from various reports and systems will also be a key task.
- Ensuring timely work-order closure, resolving variances, and implementing corrective measures will be an essential duty.
- The candidate will execute inventory-related transactions, including manufacturing receipts, material issues, labor, and adjustments.
- Supporting and contributing to the team's objectives while fostering a collaborative environment will be critical.
- Leading the team by providing guidance, motivation, and support, applying Lean/5S methodologies to streamline operations and improve efficiency, will be a major priority.
We offer a competitive salary, between $80,000 and $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, with experience working with ERP/MRP systems and APICS certification preferred.
Prior management experience and strong team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills are highly desirable. Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and high self-motivation with exceptional organizational skills are also required.
