About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned healthcare leader to join our team as an Executive Director of Clinical Quality and Patient Safety. This role is crucial in driving a culture of excellence across our North Puget Sound Service Area.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, drive performance improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of safety that prioritizes patient well-being and exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical quality and safety programs that align with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Patient Safety leaders to cultivate a culture of safety, focusing on harm prevention, reduction of adverse events, and adherence to best practices.
  • Champion a data-driven environment, utilizing analytics to identify trends, measure outcomes, and inform performance improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders, risk management, and accreditation teams to ensure seamless integration of quality and safety efforts across the service area.
  • Oversee a team of dedicated professionals, fostering their growth and development through effective coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a similar field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Medical/Surgical, Critical Care, Intensive Care, or the Emergency Department, with 2+ years of leadership experience in a Quality Improvement program.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to drive improvement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse audiences.
  • A deep commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care and a relentless drive to achieve exceptional outcomes.
