About the Role:

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic routine nursing duties/tasks which do not require professional training and education. These duties/tasks center around the resident by assisting them in all activities of daily living. The CNA performs under the supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) at all times.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Providence Transitional Care in Anchorage, AK. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our elderly patients, promoting their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic nursing care, including vital sign checks and medication administration
  • Support residents with mobility and transfer needs
  • Document resident care and progress in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements:

  • Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 6 months of experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private care-giver (preferred)

About Providence Transitional Care:

Providence Transitional Care is a 50-bed post-acute care facility focused on rehabilitating patients after operation and injury. We serve as a healing space between hospitalization and home, providing consistent therapeutic schedules to help our patients on their recovery journeys.

Our caregivers are empowered by our technology - wound vac machines for dressing injuries, Kangaroo IV pumps for administering antibiotics and facilitating tube feedings, PICC line access to provide medication and more.
