Providence Health & Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at St. Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. As a member of our community of caregivers, you will be part of a team that delivers exceptional patient care with a focus on whole-person care, built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a RN/LPN, including activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
* Assist with vital sign measurements, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Requirements:
* Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements.
* Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
* National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Some college courses in nursing or therapy field.
* 3 months of nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care.
