Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert III in Radiation Protection to provide onsite support at a prominent national laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations necessary for the ongoing support of design, construction, startup, and maintenance activities related to complex high-technology systems or projects.
- Offer expert insights on Radiation Protection and related technical matters.
- Advise project design and construction teams in areas of specialized knowledge.
- Conduct independent evaluations and assessments in specialized fields, guiding project teams to achieve successful outcomes on complex, high-technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with management and client representatives to ensure alignment and project success.
- Establish and uphold work standards, manage schedules, review work quality, and communicate organizational goals and policies to team members.
- Lead project teams, coordinate with functional organizations, and supervise senior personnel within the project framework.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Radiation Protection.
- A recognized status as an expert in the field of Radiation Protection.
- Experience with DOE Plutonium and in CAT II nuclear facilities.
- Knowledge of alpha contamination protocols.
- A Q clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship.
A Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Management is highly preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience directly related to Radiation Protection will also be considered.
