Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer Associate to join our team at RES. In this role, you will be responsible for managing activities required for commissioning and start-up of utility battery energy storage system facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee site commissioning personnel to ensure construction testing and QA documentation are available and assembled into the turn-over document books for the client.
  • Track site commissioning activities and report to supervisor and client.
  • Support and ensure the safe energization of electrical equipment as per energization procedure.
  • Work with discipline engineers to identify and coordinate interconnection, documentation, and coordination requirements pre and post construction.
  • Support site turnover and O&M documentation.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with NERC guidelines and various ISO and TSO organization requirements is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DCS/SCADA control systems and methods for utility scale Battery Energy Storage Systems is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and integrate contact documents.
  • Ability to read and understand SLD, technical drawings, and installation manuals.
  • Ability to assist in the development and interpretation of project schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 2+ years of experience with electrical utility scale commissioning personnel and activities preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with Battery Storage utility scale commissioning preferred.

  • Competitive salary range: $69,000 - $89,000/Annually.
