We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Agency Syndication to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our Credit Processing Team, you will be responsible for providing specialized agency services as an independent intermediary between borrowers and lenders participating in syndicated credit facilities arranged by Wholesale or Retail Markets.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with borrowers, lenders, external and internal legal counsel, and other business units within the Bank on all activities related to the syndication.
- Act as an industry expert in local market funding and operational standards for all loan products and services, offering recommendations and solutions to complex funding issues.
- Manage the flow of funds to mitigate risk to the Bank as agent.
- Negotiate and collect revenues on behalf of the Agent and syndicate, distributing them accordingly.
- Review and recommend/negotiate Agency Fee on an annual basis.
- Act as an agent for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve or enhance processes, procedures, and service for clients.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
- Maintain current expert knowledge of the credit agreement to accurately and effectively administer the contractual arrangements while mitigating execution risks.
- Facilitate closings of new/amended credit facilities, including sign-off on deal structure, setup and population of ledgers, SyndTrak, and review of flow of funds memorandum.
- University degree/College diploma in Business, Accounting, or Finance with 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
- Solid knowledge of various Lending and Deposit Products and Services.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Credit industry and/or General Banking; knowledge of Branch Operations/Trade finance.
- Ability to investigate complex problems and make sense of information, communicating detailed information in a meaningful way.
- Ability to inspire outcomes by sharing expertise and building relationships and networks.
- Goal-oriented with a focus on delivering results and making a meaningful impact.
- Attention to detail with critical thinking skills to inform decision-making.
- Alignment with CIBC's values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.

CIBC offers a competitive total rewards package, including a salary range of $125,000 - $175,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
