Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets and Investment Banking businesses, partnering extensively with internal stakeholders and external clients to deliver a seamless front-to-back process and service offering.

Job Purpose

The NAM Syndicate Operations Head will lead the Syndicate Operations staff supporting the Debt (DCM) and Equity (ECM) Investment Banking business and the Markets Primary issuance businesses, including the Special Equity Transaction Group. This role will oversee the coordination of logistics surrounding deal pipeline, ensuring timely settlement and managing front-to-back controls and deal-related regulatory filings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver an effective control framework that meets Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for the integrity of operational processes, overseeing and leading daily core operations, and championing a proactive culture and environment.
  • Lead by example in support of organizational initiatives, exhibiting in-depth knowledge of products and issues, and proactively seeking opportunities to work across silos.
  • Lead a series of control and automation initiatives for the NAM region, executing on the Target Operating Model, reducing Operational Touchpoints, and reducing processing and payment risk.
  • Identify and develop innovative solutions and cost savings opportunities, build effective relationships with clients, facilitate, influence, and enable change.
Stakeholder Engagement

This role will act as the key point of contact to the business, representing the broader ECM/DCM Operations groups across internal and external stakeholders. Continued engagement and face-off with senior Business, Technology, and Operations partners will be essential, as well as engaging in client discussions and relationship management activities as required to support the Business.

Qualifications and Skills

Finra Series 99 registered preferred. 10+ years of experience in Tier 1 global financial institutions with strong experience in either Equity and/or Debt Markets Middle Office or Operations. Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive, with a leader who can positively and productively add product impact to both strategic and tactical technology.
