About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior General Superintendent to lead our construction projects in healthcare and education. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall field work, ensuring that company policies and procedures are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate Gilbane's trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule
  • Supervise the construction of large projects or multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and quality control
  • Develop and implement project budgets for general conditions and site services, maintaining a thorough understanding of contract documents
  • Coordinate and manage jobsite logistics, including obtaining necessary permits and ensuring safety compliance
  • Lead contractor meetings, oversee daily reports, and document progress using Procore
  • Establish credibility among owners, trade contractors, and unions by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 15+ years of experience on $100+ million construction projects or multiple projects in a superintendent role
  • Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Procore, with knowledge of construction documents and drawings
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certified
