Position Title: Crane and Hoist Maintenance Technician
Role Summary: As a Crane and Hoist Maintenance Technician, you will engage in service operations from start to finish, with compensation commencing from your departure point and concluding upon your return. A company vehicle will be at your disposal, inclusive of maintenance, insurance, and fuel expenses. Overnight stays may occasionally be necessary, for which you will receive a daily allowance of $60, a fuel card, and a company card for lodging expenses.
Daily Operations: Your workday initiates with clocking in via an application as you head to the job site. The application will assign you either a quoted or non-quoted task. For quoted tasks, detailed information regarding the issues, required repairs, parts, tools, and estimated completion time will be provided. For non-quoted tasks, you will need to diagnose issues such as cranes that are malfunctioning, identify the root cause, and execute the necessary repairs. Visits to the facility may be required for tools, parts, or to manage scissor lift logistics. Comprehensive reports on repairs conducted will be mandatory.
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing cranes and hoists
- Proficient use of tools and components specific to crane and hoist maintenance
- Capability to operate scissor lifts and man lifts up to 100 feet
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
Employment Type: This is a permanent role.
Work Environment: This position is fully on-site.
Work Setting: The work environment may vary depending on the client being serviced. The most challenging settings include steel mills, which can be dirty, dusty, and lack temperature control. Comfort with working at heights of up to 100 feet is essential.
