Banquet Chef Job Description

At Bentwater Yacht & Country Club, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of all banquet foods, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the banquet kitchen staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Develop and implement menus for banquets and special events, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Conduct daily taste panels to ensure that all dishes meet our quality standards.
  • Manage food production to ensure that all banquet foods are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and waste, ensuring that we meet our financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure that all culinary operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Banquet Chef or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of success in managing banquet kitchen staff and operations.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
