The successful candidate will operate independently, applying sound judgment and refined clinical skills to perform procedures safely and accurately, ensuring timely delivery of results.
Building trust and rapport with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare providers is essential. This is achieved through thorough patient evaluations, vigilant monitoring, and effective communication.
Compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies, is critical to maintain patient privacy and safety while providing exceptional care. The role may also include responsibilities related to specific procedures and educational duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and specialized nuclear medicine examinations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles and equipment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey sensitive information to diverse audiences.
- Exhibit strong organizational abilities to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Utilize computer applications and information systems relevant to the role.
Qualifications:
Education: Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program is required.
Certifications: Must possess ARRT - Radiography certification, NMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification, and BLS - Basic Life Support certification. RHF - Radiology Fluoroscopy certification is required within 180 days of hire.
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
Skills:
- General knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and human anatomy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Competence in identifying and resolving standard operational issues.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Capacity to foster collaborative relationships with peers and healthcare providers.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, including rotating weekends.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $58.70 to $79.25 per hour, with consideration for various factors including experience and qualifications.
