Nuclear Medicine Technologist II Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our medical imaging team, you will be responsible for assisting in the organization, supervision, and training activities of the technical operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the organization and supervision of the technical operation
  • Train and develop staff members to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and efficient patient care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • Completion of a nuclear medicine technologist training program or radiologic technologist training program with NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists or NMT-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification within 60 days of hire
Preferred Experience:
  • One year experience in an acute care hospital, including clinical hours during technologist training program
  • 3-5 years clinical nuclear medicine experience
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Sound understanding of anatomical positioning
  • Ability to analyze difficult situations and react properly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and communicate confidential patient information
