Job Title: Maintenance Manager

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in Scranton, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a crew performing routine preventive maintenance and safety inspection operations for a plant's mechanical equipment, control systems, or power distribution systems.
  • Follow a daily and weekly schedule to effectively assign maintenance and repair tasks and may use a work order system to track work orders.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, repair, inspection, and calibration processes to identify wear, damage, or leaks, replace filters or belts, or apply lubrication to mechanical devices.
  • Select, schedule, and coordinate vendors and outside service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance projects.
  • Maintain a replacement and spare part inventory at required levels.
  • Responsible for training and development of staff, including: estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Ensure all work and material handling follow established safety procedures and regulations.
  • Lead and direct the work of other employees and have responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 7-8 years of experience relevant to the position's functional area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Automation Calibration, Equipment Maintenance, Failure Analysis, Manufacturing Support, Mechanical Troubleshooting, Numerical Control, Production Support.
  • Refurbishment, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Inspect/Equipment repairs, Mechanical Maintenance, Equipment Monitoring, Process Documentation, Leadership Skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
