Job Overview

Position Summary:

The individual in this role will execute preventive and predictive maintenance for facility operations. This encompasses diagnosing issues and performing advanced repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC-R, kitchen appliances, and other facility infrastructures. Reporting to the Facilities Shift Supervisor and Facilities Shift Manager, the individual will also address all general maintenance service requests.

Essential Functions:

  1. Comply with all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel and visitors.
  2. Foster an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Rockford for their entertainment; responsible for building and maintaining guest relationships and mentoring team members to deliver exceptional service.
  3. Oversee the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of the facility.
  4. Safely ascend ladders up to 30 feet to conduct routine rooftop inspections.
  5. Respond promptly to maintenance service requests.
  6. Facilitate event setups and breakdowns safely and efficiently. Move furniture and equipment as instructed. Support other departmental events as needed.
  7. Utilize the Computer Maintenance Management System to generate service requests and document daily work performed. Complete all assigned work orders according to their priority.
  8. Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ordering parts and materials as required.
  9. Conduct necessary drills and inspections; maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as appropriate.
  10. Install and repair doors, furniture, office partitions, flooring, and other carpentry-related items.
  11. Prepare drywall for painting and execute painting and staining of walls, furniture, and other related items.
  12. Perform advanced repairs and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC-R, kitchen equipment, and other operational systems.
  13. Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including replacing worn or defective components such as motors, switches, fuses, contacts, and wiring.
  14. Understand Building Automation Systems and possess the ability to identify issues and propose proactive solutions.
  15. Have a working knowledge of DDC controls.
  16. Operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges.
  17. Possess an advanced understanding of Emergency Generators and their operations, including performing necessary functions during power switching. Monitor Emergency Generators and associated equipment.
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned and adhere to all relevant regulations and departmental standard operating procedures.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis)

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of journey-level experience in general maintenance duties (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other general facility repairs) or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of maintenance, repair, and service, along with the ability to troubleshoot issues and take appropriate action, is essential.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Must hold and maintain two or more certifications in HVAC-R, Electrical, Plumbing, or Commercial Kitchen Equipment.
  • HVAC Technicians must hold and maintain an EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification for working with refrigerants.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be available to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Drivers of company vehicles must possess a valid driver's license and meet the requirements/standards outlined in the Motor Vehicle Permit Application.

Knowledge of:

  • Machines and equipment, including but not limited to basic hand and power tools, spray equipment, etc.
  • Safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Certification in HVAC or Electrical Systems and/or 6+ years of experience.

Ability to:

  • Be flexible to work varying shifts and schedules as required.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Operate aerial lifts, trucks, and light motorized equipment.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Exhibit exceptional guest service skills.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
