We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for our cultured dairy production facility. In this first shift position, you will work closely with the plant engineer to enhance employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall operational efficiency through Continuous Improvement methodologies and a structured Management Operating System (MOS). This role is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor eager to advance their career within a reputable organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage mechanical and electrical skills to maintain production systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
  • Oversee staff directly or through team leaders to ensure effective recruitment, retention, development, and performance management.
  • Possess experience in HVAC, electrical systems (motor control circuitry up to 480V 3-phase), and boiler operations.
  • Manage maintenance and capital projects at the site.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to enhance asset utilization through scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Implement corrective actions based on key maintenance performance indicators to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry regulations and standards related to mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards during capital project execution and daily maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or some college coursework is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision within a food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing equipment such as filling machines, blow mold machines, air compressors, and conveyors is essential.
  • Experience with PLC systems, particularly Allen Bradley, is highly desirable; programming skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred.
  • Experience in fabrication, welding, and machining methods is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with maintenance technicians is required.
  • Experience with CMMS is necessary; familiarity with MVP JDE is a plus.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is important; experience with union, safety, and workers' compensation is preferred.
  • Ability to lead and adhere to Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Capability to follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
  • Proficient in Continuous Improvement (CI) processes within the Management Operating Structure (MOS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs while guiding others through transitions.
